Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after
orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. James 1:27
Since Rick Warren came out with the book The Purpose Driven Life, I think many of us have become familiar with the phrase - it's not about me. With our adoption journey, of course it's important to know that this is no different. As we continue to raise funds for our adoption, I'm really excited about the paperwork that I dropped off at the Post Office today. All weekend, I've been working on an application to Lifesong for Orphan's Both Hands project. The application process was pretty intense but so worth it. It takes about 6-8 weeks for the application to be considered so we'll wait and see if this is the direction that God would have us go. If I had my choice, I'm hoping for a YES, YES, YES!
The awesome thing about the Both Hands project is that it not only benefits our family's adoption but it also benefits a widow. Take a look at this amazing project and please pray with us that we'll be added to the list of amazing families that can take a part of something so remarkable.
