I want to know who's reading this blog. I want this to be a community so even if I know something about you, tell the other readers who will read these comments. A little stuck on what to say? Here are some ideas:
Tell us:
- about your family.
- about this season in your life.
- What's been your greatest joy this year? Your disappointment?
- What type of work do you do? What's your passion?
- How we can pray for you.
- Something quirky about you.
- What part of the country do you live in?
- Do you blog? What's your blog address?
Lots of love!

I love adoption and I am from Ethiopia. I have one boy - 2 years old. Hoping to adopt someday. Currently enjoying the adoption journey vicariously through many adoptive families like yours.
Hi, Michelle! I am Dawn K and a fellow AWAA hopeful momma. Currently my husband of 14 years and I live in Florida (even though I don't like the heat) and have 3 bio children, ages 12 (girl), 10 (girl), and 7 (boy). We are yearning for a little brother for our children, but we've asked for 2 children, so we don't know what gender the other may be. I used to be a teacher outside the home, now I homeschool our kids, and love it. Thanks for your blog. I love reading about everyone's journies. What's quirky? Oh, I don't know. I live on a hobby farm and like farm animals. Step in a lot of chicken poop on a daily basis. That's not really quirky, just kind of gross. Oh well! You have a beautiful family! Blessings to you and your hubby as you wait for your baby girl.
Hi. I am single and without children. In 2010, I was layed off from a company for which I had worked for 22 years and really expected to retire from. I have spent the last several months helping my elderly parents (my dad has dementia). My life has turned totally upside down.
Somewhere along the way, I became addicted to adoption videos and, subsequently, adoption blogs. I do love the stories of children coming home but I think what really captures my heart is the spiritual journey that the adoptive parents go through. It is amazing to see, through what they share in their blogs, how their hearts stretch and grow and change.
I am in a holding pattern in my life. I feel like God took me off the totally materialistic track I was on but has not yet revealed to me what is next. I know He has a plan for my life. I just have no idea what it is!!!
Oh prayers, please pray for wisdom for me, that I will hear his voice saying 'this is the path, walk in it!'; that I will not allow fear to control my life; that I will please and glorify Him!
Thank you for asking who I am! :-)
Praying for you and your family

I'm Janine! I found your blog as I was searching for adoption fundraiser help. I am a photographer and my husband is a HS teacher/bb coach. We have a wonderful little boy who is 5 and a little girl 1.5. We adopted E at birth in a domestic adoption. We have decided to go forward with another adoption as it is so heavy on our hearts. This time we are trying to fundraise- ugh!
Here's my blog http://www.fullspeedintothedark.blogspot.com/
I can't wait to hear about how all of your adoption plans continue- so exciting!!
Hi All. My name is Molly. I'm single and feel I'm in a season of waiting in my life. That theme of waiting is what brought me to Michelle's blog (& waiting for Selah) over a year ago. When I came accross it I realized she doesn't live far from where I was living at that time (since then I've moved to Erie, PA)and that she was having a garage sale fundraiser that very weekend. Two things I love: garage sales and adoption! So I packed up a car load of items and headed to the sale where I met Michelle and her family. What a joy! I've been following the blog ever since. Oh - quirky... how about: I love garage sales but don't own much stuff at all, it's just getting to know people that I love. My work is ministry with college students.
Who am I? Sometimes I wonder that myself! I am a Mum to two beautiful children who came to us via adoption. I live in New Zealand where the adoption laws are VERY different to USA but are very similar for international adoptions. I would like to think I am a photographer but I get little time to spend on that now. I work at my old primary school where my children attend. I blog but am not very good with words. I can't remember how I found this blog but I love to stop by and read whats going on. Oh and something kind of quirky is that I am teaching myself to run! I have never been able to run and breathe at the same time so that is my new goal. To run 5kms and to breathe at the same time! Feel free to stop by my blog too!
Wow! Thanks so much for sharing about who you all are. It's exciting to learn more about you and read your blogs, if you have one. Much love! Michelle
